My current setup

I have been travelling quite a lot in the past few months compared to the past few years. I didn’t have a proper desk setup as I was moving around quite a lot. I mostly used the desk from my rented house/apartment, or went to a coffee shop and used the computer there. Anyway, with my back pain, I couldn’t sit properly for too long. Now, my back pain is getting better and I want to spend more time in front of the computer. I decided to set up a proper working desk.

Previously, I used an external monitor. But this time I have been using my laptop without an external monitor while travelling and moving around. I decided to go without a monitor. So far, it hasn’t been a problem — I don’t even notice that I don’t have an external monitor. But I bought a computer stand this time. It’s really convenient. With only a laptop riser, it was really problematic as it wasn’t at eye level. Besides that, I use an external keyboard and mouse, which made it too far for me to read. Now with the computer stand, I can keep my keyboard and mouse underneath it and bring the screen a bit closer to me. It’s so much better.

For the chair, I bought an ergonomic chair from Bewell. It’s not the greatest, but it works. It helps my back, and the armrests are adjustable. For the view in front of my desk, I have to close the curtain after 1 PM as it gets hot and the sun comes from that side. But I can open it in the morning and at night.

There are no buildings in front, it’s an empty lot. Beyond that empty lot is a rice field. I can just zone out and look at the view while working. This is my current setup.
